Owner Coleen Daly

Coleen Daly - Owner/Manager/Coach

Serves as the Office Manager at H3 Fencing, where she plays an important role in supporting athletes, families, coaches, and the day-to-day operations of the club.

Prior to helping open H3 Fencing, Coleen spent more than 30 years as an educator in the Baldwin School District, teaching first and second grade students while building strong relationships with their families. Her years in education shaped her belief in patience, encouragement, communication, and helping every child grow with confidence.

At H3, Coleen continues that same commitment outside of the classroom. She works closely with athletes and families, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment where young fencers can develop both on and off the strip. Her extensive experience as an educator brings an important perspective to the H3 staff and supports the club’s mission of building strong athletes, confident young people, and lasting connections with families.
Outside of H3, Coleen enjoys reading popular fiction, hiking in search of beautiful waterfalls, and spending time with family and friends—especially relaxing by the pool or gathering around the fire pit.

Led Garden City HS Co-ed Foil Team to 4 County Championships and League Titles.
Founded Half Hollow Hills Men’s & Women’s Fencing Teams in 2006—now one of Suffolk County’s strongest programs.

Role: Head of the H3 Internship Program
With nearly two decades of fencing experience, Coach Conor Daly brings a competitive edge and a deep passion for athlete development. As a former standout competitor, Conor was named Suffolk County Honorable Mention in 2015 and earned First Team honors in 2016, finishing 3rd in the county that season. His competitive success extended to the national stage, where he claimed a silver medal at a North American Cup (NAC).

Now in his third year of coaching, Conor has already made a significant impact:

12 athletes have earned USA Fencing ratings under his guidance
4 athletes have achieved national rankings in Y14 and Junior events

Specializing in épée and sabre, Coach Conor focuses on building strong fundamentals, cultivating a competitive mindset, and providing customized training plans tailored to each athlete’s strengths and goals. Whether you’re new to fencing or competing at the national level, Conor is dedicated to helping you succeed--on and off the strip.
As the leader of the H3 Internship Program, Conor mentors the next generation of coaches, instilling core values of leadership, integrity, and excellence. His commitment to athlete and coach development is a cornerstone of H3’s inclusive and high-performance culture.
